Why is outdoor play so important?

We believe that the outdoor classroom is as important as the indoor environment and therefore utilise our space to ensure a great learning experience for the children.

Many children prefer playing outside and as a result they show greater levels of involvement and motivation when learning new skills, and concepts across the whole curriculum can be more readily embedded.

Our changing society has reduced regular opportunities for children to play outdoors so we feel it is more important than ever to ensure that our children continue to reap the benefits of learning in a natural environment.

Our Nurseries

We are conveniently located inside Valentines Park (IG1) & Clayhall Park (IG5) for families who live or work in Ilford, Clayhall, Newbury Park, Barkingside, Gants Hill, Redbridge, South Woodford, Seven Kings and surrounding areas.

What Our Parents Say

Adam has been attending kGems since he was in the baby room, and is now preparing to start school. Its been a wonderful nursery, the team are very caring, look after the children and provide a warm, caring and progressive environment for the children to learn and develop. The food is made on site, so they cater for all dietary needs and due to the park location have a fantastic environment for the children to enjoy outside play. Overall we are very happy with the nursery and will miss them very much.

My daughter has been at kGems since she was a small baby and like most new mothers I was very nervous about leaving her in the nursery and going back to work. There really was no need to worry, the staff at kGems made both myself and my daughter feel welcome and comfortable from the start. All the staff in the nursery are amazing. My daughter used to get upset when I first started leaving her to go back to work but the girls always reassured me and they were available if I wanted to call and check how she was doing. My daughter then started to look forward to coming to the nursery every morning. She does so many fun activities which are always communicated to me on the app and she has improved so much since joining kGems and I really feel a lot of it is down to the girl's hard work. I can't recommend this nursery enough.

My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the great work carried out at the nursery. Our son has been attending kGems Nursery full-time for almost one year and have found it to be a kind, happy and very stimulating environment and experience for him. We are very satisfied with the wide range of activities inside and outside the nursery and feel that our son’s development has been pushed towards a very positive behaviour and experience while building up his confidence and independence. Most importantly, we have been impressed with our son’s bond with the staff and especially with his key worker, Sarah, which shows how much the staff care about our son and what a nurturing environment had been provided away from home. I have had the pleasure of using the kGems Nursery for two of my children. To entrust the little loves of your life with someone else is so difficult. But I could not have picked anyone better to watch them. They are concerned about self growth and improving themselves for the betterment of all of the children that attend there. They also put so much effort into any event that they hold and the food is delicious 🙂 and the thing that matters most is that my little one always came out smiling. Thank you for everything.
